How Accidental Cajun Experiences Gives Back

At Accidental Cajun Experiences, we don’t just guide people through New Orleans—we invite them to experience the essence of the city. Our tours are rooted in the rhythms, flavors, and stories that make this place unlike any other – and we are committed to supporting the people who truly are the culture of the city.

New Orleans has welcomed us, inspired us, and given us more than we could ever repay—so we give back whenever and however we can. That’s why we’re proud to announce a special initiative that directly supports two cornerstones of New Orleans culture.

Supporting Art through Art

As an award-winning photojournalist, James Cullen has documented all facets of New Orleans culture, making iconic photos of the unique people and places that define the city. He is especially interested in Black Masking Indian culture, and supporting this culture through the sales of fine art prints. For every print purchased off TheAccidentalCajun.com website, 50% of the profit goes to the Black Masking Indian featured in the photo.

Remembering Our Roots

Music is the heartbeat of the city, and since 2007 Derek Tabb and the Roots of Music have been training the next generation of middle school marching band greats. Created in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to help at-risk you learn the rich musical traditions of the city, Roots of Music provides the foundation – roots if you will – for not just music but life. Beyond musical instruction, the program provides hot meals and mentoring to ensure that every student reaches their maximum potential. And our tours help support the Roots of Music, with $10 of each purchased tour being donated to Roots. When you book with us, you not only listen to the music, pay it forward to the next generation of musicians.

Giving Back Is at the Heart of What We Do

Accidental Cajun Experiences was built on a deep love for New Orleans and a desire to give back to the culture that made it all possible. Through our ongoing partnership with Roots of Music and now through this print sale, we aim to support the city’s future while honoring its past.

When you book a tour or purchase a print, you’re not just getting an experience or a piece of art—you’re helping keep New Orleans culture alive and thriving.

Let’s get accidental—and give back while we’re at it.
